What we do

Grass Cutting

When we cut grass, we also ensure that all areas are properly strimmed. We can remove the grass for you or we can mulch the grass, whatever is preferred. We will present the completed works in a top class professional finish.

Grass Care

Field sports are our first love! To play on a perfect grass surface is a dream. Its hard work getting your pitch to perfection but it is so worth it. A plan can be created for your commercial grounds, club, school or parish. With purpose built and top class machinery we will look after it all for you – from verti draining to over seeding to feeding.

Verti Draining

Verti draining (or aerating) is used to break up soil compaction from the years of play and traffic, and it also provides desirable conditions for healthy root growth. By breaking up the compaction, it allows roots to penetrate more deeply into the soil and provides a way for surface water to reach the drains. Recommended for Spring and Autumn time works.

Top Dressing

Top dressing (or sanding) helps to increase nutrient retention, improve drainage and increase disease and pest resistance. It will encourage the production of new shoots, and result in a thicker grass with the added benefit of hindering moss and weed growth.

Over Seeding

Over seeding is the planting of grass seed directly into existing turf, without tearing up the turf, or the soil. It’s an easy way to fill in bare spots, improve the density of turf, establish improved grass varieties and enhance your lawn’s colour.

Ground Rolling

We can roll the ground to give a super even playing surface. This would be done in conjunction with a special mower used specifically for sporting grounds and pitches. We work with many rugby clubs, GAA clubs and soccer clubs in co wexford and beyond.

Fertilising

Spreading fertilizer will provide nutrients to the soil.

Spraying (Liquid Feed and Weed)

Spraying (Liquid Feed and Weed) We feed and weed where is required. Some grass needs a bit of help to grow. Some grass needs a bit of help to rid of clover, moss etc. All supplies used come with safety data sheets and all users are fully trained in application.

Scarifying

Scarifying (thatch removal) is a maintenance technique that removes moss or dead organic material from around the grass leaf. This organic matter suffocates the roots of your leaf, reducing grass growth and encouraging more weeds and moss.
